A brief memoir of very many years working in audio visual media, conferences and video, with some of the triumphs, disasters, and funny bits. All of this is now ancient history, and - probably - some statute of limitations applies. The tale runs from pioneering days where the so-called 'industry' was being invented, to current practice, where programme-making and conferencing actually can be described as an industry. Throughout it all, harefield was there, often at the cutting - and frequently bleeding - edge. This is the 'been there, got the t-shirt' account.
